Attorney Paul T. Raub received his bachelors of liberal arts degree from Drake University in 1973. Following graduation, Mr. Raub began a successful career in insurance and for 20 years, he worked for various medical malpractice insurance companies that insured physicians and hospitals against medical negligence. Mr. Raub attended Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, graduating in 1993. Mr. Raub began his legal practice primarily defending doctors, hospitals and other health care providers in medical malpractice actions. This experience has been of great value in developing an understanding of the defense perspective in civil litigation, learning the various aspects of medicine and evaluating injury claims.
In addition to his involvement in medical malpractice litigation, Mr. Raub has experience in other areas of civil litigation. This includes the representation of physicians, nurses, psychologists and other health care providers in California licensing board matters in which the health care provider's career, reputation and livelihood are at stake. He has experience in representing individuals with many other types of cases such as product defects, personal injury, sexual abuse, medical malpractice, elder abuse/nursing home injury, and other areas involving death and serious injury.
Mr. Raub's equine law practice is growing. As an equine lawyer, Mr. Raub drafts contracts for horse sales, leasing, breeding, boarding and other areas of equine law. In addition, with his malpractice background, Mr. Raub has been called upon to investigate, review and handle cases involving veterinary negligence and breach of contract cases that involve the physical condition of the horse.
